A few days ago the guy I like was making eye contact with me and stuff but now he avoids my gaze and just about ignores me. Is he doing this because he knows I like him and he doesn't like me back or is it because he likes me and is just nervous? If it makes a difference, he's pretty popular.
Eye contact can't say much. Was there any gestures on his face? Like a smile or anything? a guy can look at a girl and maybe "check her out" and mean nothing by it but just that.
So he could of just been checking you out and then went on along with his life.
Also. Is he just ignoring with no reactions? Or have you caught him maybe staring and then pretend to do something else? Because if there isn't any of of that, then id stick to he was just checking you out and not interested.
In my math class, I went to help a girl out and he was sitting behind her and while I was there he was smiling at me. I'm also pretty sure that I caught him smiling at me in my english class but all of this stuff happened like 2, 3, and 4 days ago. Now he just acts awkward and he doesn't do any eye contact or anything. I might've caught him looking at me but I'm not entirely sure. He always seems on edge but again I'm not sure if he's trying to tell me he doesn't like me or that he does. - 8 months ago

He could like you , but just doesn't know how to come forward to you.
If ur interested sometimes you can make a move, nothing too forward but just to start some small talk , since you have classes with him , id maybe ask him if he remembers the hw from the class before or something even if you already know the answer, then you can lead on to other things. An approach he could take as well , but looks like he won't if he is nervous/intimidated.
