I'm a bit shy when it comes to things like dating and going out. I'm really social with people, just as soon as it gets to that I kinda zone out.

So I've been talking to this girl for at least an hour or two a day for the past 4 months and she asked me to the Sadie Hawkin's dance and I've been at her house for "study-groups" (which means just play wii), so I'm pretty sure she likes me. But I'm not really sure how to ask her out cause I'm not a really up-front person. Any ideas on how I could make it seem really casual or how I could sort of hint at it and lead her into asking me?

Update: Umm she just asked me if I wanted to come over for a movie-night at her friends house. I'm still not sure if she's a great friend or if she actually likes me cause there's usually around 7 people at her get-together.    3 months ago

she likes you a lot. Girls never want to "study" when they invite you over haha they just want to hang out with you. She is obviously wanting to go out with you but is also too shy to ask you on a real date, that is why she is having a big group movie nigh and your coming over to her house. So maybe you can say how you've been wanting to see this movie and if she wanted to come. She will say yes because as far as I can see she's in love with you

After hanging out in a group, either a study group or the movie night, then pull her aside and say "that was so fun! except, I think it would've been cooler if it was just the two of us" then smile. She'll get it. Right. Away.

Question Asker I really like that thanks a lot. The movie night went over really well yesterday and she let me put my arm around her and leaned into me so I think things are going cool. - 3 months ago
Answerer Yeah your welcome. Oh then she is definitely interested and is waiting for you to make an official move. She is most likely always telling her friends that she likes you and that you are taking wayyy to long! - 3 months ago

To be honest it looks likes she really wants to spend time with you. Which is possibility that she might like you.So you say that you feel shy around her. And you can't find a way to tell her to go out with you or that you like her. Dude you really have to stop with that whole am shy thing just tell her straight up like her and you would love to ask her out. Euro-Raver forget about you and your fear just tell her that the least you can do.But hey good luck with it

Are you guys best friends or anything? Because if not then all of her actions would imply that she likes you in my opinion.

The fact that she asked you to the Sadie Hawkin's dance would make me think she likes you. Generally girls wait for guys to make the first move, and actions otherwise usually mean that a girl really likes someone, or she's just ballsy. This was especially true in high school, and I doubt things have changed that much in the two years I haven't been there. :P

You may not be able to lead her into asking you, you're probably going to have to just suck it up and just ask her. However, if you want to try to get her to ask her out, trying a little physical flirting. It's generally one of the first things that clues girls in to the fact that a guy might like them,

Question Asker Alright thanks. Yea she's a bit more ballsy than most girls I know. She plays on a state travel softball team so maybe that's where it's from. I'll try and see what I can do. I don't really want to ask her out to a movie cause that's really just siting there for 2 hours without even talking to each other. - 3 months ago
Answerer I don't know what there is to do in your town, but if you want to talk on your date try going out for coffee or ice cream. It's more easy going and casual then dinner, and you can socialize all you want. - 3 months ago

Take her ice skating or to the movies or stuff like that

about the movie-night thing, try to get her alone. isolate her from the group, if you can, it'll make it a lot easier.
you don't always need to use words to show interest in her. body language works well too, especially if you don't want to be too upfront with her.
touching her elbow or arm or shoulder occasionally when talking to her is good

my guess is this girl does like you. ask her out at the dance. but before the dance, try to hint at her that you like her.

What pickup lines do you use to start a conversation with someone you are attracted to?
I usually just use my environment to find something relevant to open. and since high quality outgoing women are never alone. I open her group as opposed to just her. but when I need something on the spot I have 2 that have proven consistently well:"red or blue?"and "excuse me, you would never believe what happened to me today somebody sent me a 40lb box of rape and I don't know if I should open it"

How do they typically respond?
A laugh. they never fail to respond back without curiosity. you have to realize that woman doesn't know you from adam and probably has something something else going on in her life besides you. all I aim for is a pleasant comical distraction that can start the flow of conversation

Do I have the right approach?
