Okay, so there is a guy at my school who I have liked all year. He is ALWAYS surrounded by girls who are obsessed with him. He is good friends with my sister and he told her that the girls were overwhelming him. So I just let him come to me. Well, a few days ago he told my sister that he had secretly liked me all year! He said that the only reason he is dating his current girlfriend is because he didn't think he had a chance with me and that he thought I was probably seeing someone. He told my sister that he wanted to tell me but he wasn't sure if he should. He ended up telling her to tell me. SO HERE IS MY PROBLEM....he hasn't spoken to me since!
My sister told him that she told me and he was really excited and he knows that I like him as well.....if that is true, why is he still with his girlfriend that he apparently doesn't even like? Why hasn't he said anything to me? Is he shy? Is he playing with me? Is he trying to be respectful to his current gf?! what is going on here?!
Initially I would have said shy, but that doesn't fit with someone who is always surrounded by girls who are obsessed. That kind of guy usually is very confident, so it's somewhat curious. But maybe he asked the question without adequately thinking through what his next move should be. And you haven't been chasing him like the rest, so he's not used to this. He does have a current girlfriend and maybe he's partly working to change that - or she knows something is up and she's working to keep him. A few days is not a long time in the scheme of things, although I don't know how many opportunities he has passed up to say something in that time. But he was excited, so expect something to happen soon. Here's hoping that it wasn't just about being able to say that no one can resist.him.

Ask yourself this first, what is considered cheating? I'm sure this guy that you like wants to avoid a big fight with his current girlfriend. Breaking up can be hard but by him approaching you and then having his girlfriend find out will be the fight that leads to another fight and possibly a breakup. BUT you have to remember that even if this guy says he hates his current girlfriend they still have some history together so it may just be hard for him to breakup with her right now. If you really like this guy then you should be the one approaching and let him decide what he wants to do after the two of you get to talking.
