Is it intimidating for a guy if a girl is smarter and/or richer? Does it matter if the girl is more successful than the guy? Would it affect the relationship or would it give you second thoughts in approaching the girl?

Rich girls are easy! See, they already have nice shit, which means you don't have to buy them an ipod or something. In fact, all you have to do is make her something. No one EVER makes rich girls stuff. If a woman can have everything in the world, give her something only you can give: a piece of yourself
Smart girls are tough, but the conversations-> arguments-> sex is better. Nothing like a political debate to get the juices flowing.

Look, this is the internet, so you're going to get a bunch of guys who are smart and say no I don't mind smarter, more successful girls.

Fact is most guys do not want to deal with smarter women because women are generally more manipulative and a smart manipulator causes an assload of problems. Guys want a girl they can deal with, not one who is going to work them.

Secondary reason most guys don't like smarter girls is because guys like girls who like some of the same stuff they do, and if that stuff is sports and tv, smart girls become a much smaller option.

As far as rich goes, it could be intimidating maybe, but I doubt it. Really it's just more of an opportunity to get both good food and good play, because poor women don't buy us good food. I guess the only real reason a richer girl would be a problem is if the dude wanted his girlfriend to be financially dependant on him? Which sounds really weird to me so I doubt that happens.

Rich girls also tend to be extremely stuck up, but I'm assuming he already knows he likes you.

ALWAYSclassy Lol really? What if she's just book-smart, that doesn't translate into possibly being manipulative does it? - 7 months ago

I wouldn't mind it so long as she is down to Earth and isn't spoiled to the point where it is either her way or the highway. If it didn't work out then I would probably be wary of the next smart rich girl that1 I come along.

Quite the opposite, actually.

I happen to prefer a girl who is smarter than me. With a girl who is smarter than you, there will never be a dull conversation due to her not knowing what you are talking about. Make it politics, music, fun things like Calculus - whatever! Not only that, her being smarter, combined with the fact that women are always correct, will keep her happy! And guys, when she's happy, you're happy.

As far as a woman who is more successful, I feel the same. I would not mind a more successful girl at all, provided she has earned her success, as opposed to having it handed to her.

Not at all, in fact I prefer intelligent women. I am not intimidated at all if a woman happens to be wealthier than me IF she were clever enough to make that money herself. On the other hand I've dated women who came from money, one long-term, and I'll never go that route again. It's been my experience that I'll never be able to please a woman who has come from money. But a smart woman who has made her own money, that's a different story, I wouldn't be intimidated by her, but the fact that she has money wouldn't make her more attractive either. The fact that a woman is smart would make her more attractive, smarter than me or not.
