okay. so I have this guy friend who I really like but I have no idea if he likes me. he has a lot of friends that are girls and he's always like all over them, but according to people I have asked, that's just how he is around his friends. He tends to be awkward around me and when we talk sometimes there's an awkward giggle or silence. I asked him to go to my prom with me, and he went, and he held my hand while we were dancing, and hugged me when the night was over, but I'm not sure if he was just being polite. But, during that night when a slow song came on, he seemed like he didn't want to dance with me, and I wasn't sure if that was because he was nervous or because he doesn't like me like that and wouldn't want to. he also didn't say to my face that I looked nice, where he did to other girls, but he told all of his friends that I looked really pretty. unfortunately, its now the week after prom, and he hasn't talked to me all week and he has kinda ignored me. what is up with him? And let me also add that he might know that I like him, but I'm not quite sure.
It sounds to me like this guy MIGHT (not sure but) have someone else already on his mind. It is possible that he went with you to prom because he didn't have anyone else to go with but still kind of likes you. Guys don't always know what they want. Judging his actions by him being 'all-over' other girls and maybe not showing some attention to you at prom, he might have a lot on his mind. Maybe he is just very nervous about his impression to you and doesn't know what he should or shouldn't do.
Also, how much attention did you show him at prom? Or was he always the one to incite the first move about getting on the dance floor or your hug? Maybe he is exactly in the same position as you and doesn't know how you feel about him (even though you were the one who asked him to prom). Even though he hasn't contacted you back, it doesn't mean that he isn't thinking about you. Show him that you are interested in hanging out with him.
Your situation is especially difficult because of his flip-flopping actions. I hope that I might have helped even a little & good luck!
