How can you tell when a girl likes you?

There was a girl who liked me for a year and I had no idea. Finally, one of her friends told me that she had been pursuing me all that time and I said, "Wow! I didn't know!" So, I guess her idea of pursuing me was different from what I was used to. She finally came out and told me and then I knew for sure! Some signs that girls have given me already in the past were: a girl sat on my lap and then asked me to dance with her; a girl nibbled my ear and told me I how sexy I was; a girl laid across my lap and asked me to run my fingers through her hair; a girl kept touching me and smiling at me and laughed at everything I said. I'm sure there are more, but these are the memorable ones that really let me know for sure that they liked me. The others, I kind of had to guess about.! lol

I'm gonna be honest. If she doesn't flat out tell me, I would never know.

normally I find out when she starts hanging out with me a lot more then usual, like a 300% more jump. she might also compliment me more then usual. one time, I was confused as to weather or not this one girl likes me, so I asked my friend (a girl) if she would find out, so she talked to her even though she never talked to her before, and came back 5 minutes later and said yes. I said that was amazing how girls could be so honest with each other and so open. she said she only knew because the girl kept staring at my ass between sentences.

I know a girl likes me when I purposely make a bad joke and she still laughs like it was the funniest thing she ever heard. When she stares at my arms when she thinks I don't notice (happens a lot actually) when she talks to me a lot more than usual. If you want to let a guy know you like him just bite the bottom of your lip when you look at him and play with your hair. Those two signs are the ones I notice the most.
