about a month back my mom started telling me about a guy she works with, she said he's a nice guy and that she thinks we should meet.she gave me his email but I wasnt going to use it til my mom kept telling me how she thought it was such a good idea!Anyway I finally emailed the guy and he told my mom he never received it and then asked her to ask me if i,d do it again.i said fine i,ll try once more so I did and still he claims he never received it and I don't understand that because I always email people and they receive it with no prob.he then gave my mom his number to give to me but I don't know him so I don't feel comfortable calling him and also I think i,ve done enough and he should step up and call me if he wants to talk.should I just forget the whole thing completely? what would you guys do?

I would bet that his spam filter is intercepting your emails before it gets to his inbox. If you do email him once more, I would tell him to white list your email address so the filter lets it through.

As for your true question though I would toss him the steering wheel and let him know its his turn to drive for a while. Then just sit back and figure out if you like the ride.

I would maybe try texting him. you might feel more comfortable until you get to know him better.

Ok, this guy obviously seems very important to your mom, and well. It's probably best to do what she asks. Try having your mom sit and watch you send the email, and tell her how you feel about calling him, moms are smart, and chances are that she will understand. Just remember, a mom is usually a good listener, just try to talk to her about it. Best of luck, Brittany!
