This has happened to me a lot! I know you're supposed to be able to laugh at yourself and let things settle down (people will forget them eventually), But what do you do at that moment?
I'm talking about: bodily functions, tripping, falling, and spilling food on your clothes, setting off your car alarm accidentally, etc.
You say: " oops, I wasn't meant to do that cos I was actually trying to look cool in front of you" Jk.
There's nothing much you can do. just take a breath for a moment ( but not like you meditating), cos you usually do more embarrassing things when your in an embarrassed state. And yes, laugh at yourself, cos that's what everyone else is doing (at least on the inside)
I usually smile and laugh hard! Get up like nothing happened. I act myself no matter what happens. If I did something that I usually wouldn't do, I wouldn't feel like myself. I'm guessing on this guys know when your being yourself or not.
There is nothing wrong with that, I'm sure he is not perfect and it has happened to him so don't let that spoil your crush. Sometimes guys like girls with humor just laugh it off be like whatever and if folks laugh tell them be bold and tell them how it is you aren't the only one that does these things. I do all the time something funny or embarrassing happens to me I just laugh at myself but act like I don't care shit happens. If my friends laugh I tell them off in a good way by telling them not to act like they are made of plastic or are from out of this world and shit's happened to them to. I found guys like girls that just don't care what people think. You are too self conscious about what people think and that is definitely a turn off for guys.
At the moment, say something funny like, I meant to do that, or oops, I knew that was gonna happen. you could also, laugh and act like you didn't do it, but you could also just laugh it off, lol, keep me informed, and good luck! sincerely, Brittany!
I fell backwards out of a broken chair - while wearing a skirt! Trust me, you can't get much more embarrassing than that! I laughed and said, "That's a dangerous chair!" I was mortified, but what are you gonna do?
The guy who said everyone else is laughing on the inside is right - it is funny!
And actually, I think if the other person is interested, it can put them more at ease because you don't seem too perfect. At least, I hope that's the case, lol!
Just laugh it off, otherwise it would be obvious that you were embarrassed.
This is just my opinion, but I feel like people who can't laugh at themselves in those situations take themselves too seriously, and sometimes you just have to let go of that. Everyone has awkward moments.
It's flattering when a gentleman approaches a lady and tastefully compliments her, is it not? Notice that I used the word, "gentleman". I won't go and say that gentlemen don't exist and that chivalry...
I recently had a conversation with a Japanese woman who told me she would like to have society in Japan returned to the matriarchal clan system of 2000 years ago, when women could take on temporary...
I might be crazy but I look at his teeth! I've always had a thing for teeth, probably because I'm obsessed with my own smile. At any rate, smile and, I'd have to agree, body. Then clothes...if a guy...
All women are crazy to a degree and we are very emotional and for the most part we put up with a lot so when you guys finally do something dumb we get pissed but after the dust settles we chill out...
