Does she like me?

To be honest with you, she just like you as friend only. She just the idea that you are alway available to her and talk to her. I do that too to my guy friend and now he is not available to talk to me and I don't want to share him with another girl too. You just need to talk to her again and tell her that you still want to be with her. If she said she wants to be friend than you have to decide to end the friendship and move on with another girl.

Have you made it obvious that you like her in a different way? She might not want to take the risk of telling you first. Or she might be getting over another relationship and just wants to take it slow right now. It's hard to know w/o knowing her.

Does she have a lot of friends or are you someone new? Sometimes novelty is special, but don't always make yourself available to her or she'll get bored. It's a possibility that she likes you and is afraid to say anything - but, at your age? It's probably not the case. Either way, the best thing you can do is pay close attention to her actions while she around, and if you're comfortable doing so, mention it to her. You guys should be mature adults in your 40s and not shy away from topics as such.
