Guys! Would you rather a girl tell you she liked you or would you rather her just hint at it?

I would prefer a girl to tell me she likes me. Guys have a very hard time reading girls and picking up on hints as to whether a girl likes them or not. It is usually best for both parties to be honest, that way the guy doesn't unintentionally lead a girl on and eventually hurt her if he does not feel the same way.

Don't get me wrong though; I do love a good flirtatious chase.

Im in this EXACT situation. That is part of the reason I asked that question about girls remembering the 'little things' - I must say not knowing for sure can be a bit agonizing and frustrating esp when you don't feel the signals are at 100%. Well in this case I'd say 85-90% but that still leaves about 20 percent doubt! So here goes. Guy and Girl work for the same company but in DIFFERENT buildings. They email each other for work reasons and on occasion pepper it with subtle flirtations and this goes on for over 6 months and have never met up front. He notices that she sometimes does not respond back to some emails/questions (these would be personal, non-work type stuff) but time to time will be sorta flirty. Fast forward another 6months and they finally go out on their first date (This date occurred 2 weeks ago and the first time we both see each other:) - I'm still not sure if she's interested even though it seems a lot of the signs are there. Anyhow, I text her to see how her day was and she texts back telling me about her day and then she throws in the 'kiss' emoticon. I'm wondering if that was kind of a hint? In fact the day of the first date, I jokingly texted her that if she was late, she would get a 'detention' and she writes back "I'm on my way (kiss) and btw, the last time I was in detention I enjoyed it ;) - Soooo I was like damn. We haven't even met yet and she's layin it down. Sooo that said, would does it seem like she's interested? Haha!

If she tells me that she likes me I WILL DUMP her on the spot she must give me hints .girl should be always very hard to get.

i like it better when a girl tells me she actually likes me. cause guys are kind of clueless when it comes to reading girls.

Be honest with us. Guys are stupid and can't read girls. We don't know if you're flirting or just being nice. But if you tell us that you think we're cute, it will give us confidence and let us know how you feel. But if you do that, make sure the guy still knows he has to earn you.

i'd tell him straight up, but still play hard to get. don't just let him have you. boys don't like it when girls are just way easy to get. they like they hunt.

i have a really close friend who gets attracted more to girls who like him. he's attraction is more because he knows they like him. but maybe you could hint at it rather than tell him straight to his face especially if he doesn't like you back

Well, a few years ago, when I really liked this one guy, I asked him how I should tell a certain guy that I liked him. He just said, "give him a really big kiss". And so I did. We've been together ever since.
