ive liked my really good guy friend for about a year and a half

it used to be nothing between us.but then I decided that I had enough and started flirting with him.

amazingly, he flirted back with me.

we went like that for about four months.and when I decided to ask him out.he said I don't know.

can someone please explain what that's supposed to mean?

ever since he's acted normal.like I never said anything.but he doesn't act as flirty.but he does still look at me the way he did when I was flirting with him.

help?

Okay just from reading what you wrote it seems like that your friend likes you but he doesn't want to ruin/damage your friendship. I think that you should keep your friendship with him and let him make the next move. because he know

From what I have read, it appears that your guy friend does have feelings for you and is drawn to you, but I think he is afraid of damaging the friendship by taking it to a relationship level. You obviously have much in common, and have spent much time together over the past 18 months. and I would imagine he is terrified of destroying the special friendship which the two of you have.

However, my girl, your pride comes first, and I suggest that you do not flirt with him anymore. Maintain your great friendship until or if HE makes the next move by asking YOU out. I fear that you may create an awkward situation if you pressure him into giving you an answer. I would suggest rather keep the friendship going, and look elsewhere for a boyfriend:)

Does it ever annoy you that you're single?
random-ren asked 3 days ago

Yes, most of the time! I really wish I had a boyfriend/girlfriend!

A little, because I feel left out.

Not really...

Nope! I have too much fun being single!

What's there to be annoyed about?

What pickup lines do you use to start a conversation with someone you are attracted to?
Well normally I don't usually make the first move only if I'm brave enough to. I can be pretty shy when it comes to that. I would never use pick-up lines. They never work. I would just do a normal "Hey, how are you? My name is ______ ______. What's yours?"

How do they typically respond?
They usually just smile and respond to the question. I like girls when they smile, it leaves a picture in my mind and it remembers me of them better.

Do I have the right approach?
