Do girls like poets and love poems?

u can.but don't really overdo it and don't use words a normal iq'd person won't understand .personally though-stick to funny jokes.

i don't like poetry to be honest for me if a guy read me poetry id probably laugh I love romance but poetry just doesn't do it for me

Whatever you do, don't come off as cheesy or fake. But if you're a poet then why not use it to your advantage? I'd go with romantic love poems a bit later on in the relationship though, probably not the best conversation starter if you've never met them before. Unless it relates to something at hand, that could be charming.

I love poetry! HOWEVER, I don't think it's a good conversation starter. I remember this guy once started to read some poetry to me, and I thought it was sweet, but I felt he came on too strong for my taste. It made me a little awkward.

I think it's better if you leave that for the 2nd or the 3rd date.

But I don't know. Some girls may like it!
