I would preferably like a guys opinion on this topic. I have known my high school sweetheart for four years now and we have recently started dating. This guy seems to still harbor feelings for me, but something about how he acts causes me to have suspicions that he is with someone else. He gets off of work every day and when he talks to me on the phone he tells me that he is going to get something to eat and head home to sleep. His job is not really physical, but mentally stressful being in an upper management warehouse position at his company. Many times he stays over because he has to discuss blueprints and such with other management and gets off of work very late. He does this constantly throughout the week and sometimes I get frustrated that he does not come to see me after he get off work. I know he is tired, but I feel like he is not putting forth the extra effort to come and see me. From my experience if a guy is really into a girl he will make time to see her no matter what is going on in his life. It hurts me to think he is pushing me aside for everything else in his life, and I struggle to be supportive of his ambitions. Sometimes I wonder if their is more going on in his life then what he is telling me. I feel used and neglected because at times he won't even call me after he gets off work. This guy used to be really into me, but now his obligations and lack of feelings are really starting to get in the way of me loving him. How can I l tell if he really wants me to be with him or not?
its not that he's pushing you aside, he just making room for everything else in his life. this job seems to be important to him and he seems to want to do well. his hard work will pay off in the long run for sure, and when it does he'll have you to celebrate with him. so stick in there and keep on being supportive for him.
