there is this guy that I like. I catch him staring at me and smiling and my friends do to. they haven't noticed that with any other girl though. when he thinks I'm not paying attention out of the corner of my eye I see he is watching me and I can tell because he's even made comments. they also say he treats me differently than others but in a good way. whenever he approaches me/we are by each other he is all flirty and playful. he never seems to be able to just strike up a conversation though. he has started conversations before but its just different since we were alone and acting flirty one day. so why is this?

He likes you, but he is probably intimidated by you, thinking you are too good for him. Try affirming him, letting him know you want his opinion on something. See what happens. You could also ask him if he would like to take you out sometime. The coolest thing is when you take the risk, or help someone else take the risk, and receive the reward. Most risks result in good things happening.

its cause he's hella shy and he must like you a lot to be so shy.the signs are all there he stares at you then he flirts but then when it comes to talking he's not so good at it.he maybe doubting himself in away not wanting to say the wrong thing or say something that you may not like and you might stop liking him so that's the case so he asks shy cause he's self conscious about how he talks to you but just show him its okay to be yourself then he won't be like that anymore he'll feel comfortable
