Well my ex girlfriend and I have been friends since we broke up in april (I was the one who ended it) and we text each other sometimes. we get along great but I am starting to get interested in dating her again. we exchange looks and always have a lot of eye contact. I am going to invite her over my house but I have no idea how to ask her to get back together. what should I say?
If you really feel like she wants to get back together, then go for it. But think about it and make sure it's what you want. Because it would really suck if you asked her back, got her excited to get back together, and then broke her heart again right away. Be careful with the situation.
My ex-boyfriend and I are still good friends too, and we broke up two months ago. The thing is, even though I was the one that broke up with him, he still is asking me out. It can get on my nerves. But either way, if she has left any implication that she may possibly be interested in you that way, then you can go for it, just don't be overbearing. Because the two of you hang out as friends, you have to ask her to do something as MORE than friends. And make sure that she knows it and won't just agree to go hang out with her good ol' buddy.
But please remember, just because there is a lot of eye contact, it doesn't always mean she's interested. I'm one of the girls that always meets peoples eyes when I talk. unless I actually like them, then I meet there eyes for a bit and have to look away before I turn brick red. BUT ANYWAY! If you really like her, then give it a shot.
Maybe don't ask her to get back together but ask her to hang out and see what she says. Though there is a lot of eye contact, she may not want to get into another relationship with you again. Also, think of why you broke up with her in the first place. Will that issue resurface?
Not knowing why you broke up makes this one a little hard to answer. I agree with the other post, is the reason that you broke up going to continue to be a problem? I would try and jump back into a relationship with her right away, become better friends and move on from there. There is no reason to to actually be in a relationship with her right off the bat, plus think about her. I am sure there was some pain when the two of you last broke up. Also think about your intentions with why you want to get back together. Is it because there is nobody else in your life right now and you know she still likes you? Make sure you have her in mind when answering.
