i am currently in year 12 and I met this teacher in yr9, he is older mid 30's,not overly attractive, then in year 10 I went on a school camp that he had organized and we got to talking and I really liked his personality and ever since then I don't see him as a teacher more as an older guy, whose really funny. I'm now 2months away from finishing school and I chat to him at least 3 times a week at school and we text each other either every night or every 2nd night. but I don't know if I should tell him I like him or not? cos I want to see him when I finish school. what should I do?
if you care for this guy, please please wait until you leave school, and preferably until after you turn 18 (it's not that long). since you know where he works, you will be able to get in contact with him pretty easily.
the problem with making a move now is that it places him in a moral dilemma - he will be professionally and ethically *obliged* to turn you away, even if he actually likes you in return. if he doesn't, he will be putting his entire career on the line if anyone finds out about the relationship.
once you're an adult and no longer a student, you have every right to approach whomever you like, without society being able to pin either of you with labels. that might also give you enough time to compare and contrast with other guys & decide if he's still someone you want to hook up with.
Ohhhk. Just wondering. Ur saying "year 12." Are you from Aussie land by any chance? But ok, to the serious stuff. Thats kinda weird that you have his number. being ur teacher and all. But YESSSS! I cannot stress how much you should wait until you finish school before making ur move! You both can get into a lot of serious trouble by acting on "feelings." Just remember that. Another thing. Do you know if his married or not.? I know that might sound strange but its not really clear in ur question. He could have a partner or anything that you don't know about.
