This past June I left for Basic Training and Infantry school for the Army National Guard. Three days, yes three, before shipping out, I saw the most gorgeous girl at my college. Normally I am extremely shy around girls, but with me leaving in 3 days, I asked her to lunch. She said she had to get to work so I let it go--didn't ask for a number or anything... stupid me. Now, 5 months later, I was looking at one of my best friends MySpace pages, and this girl is on his friends list. Turns out we went to the same high school, but I never met her. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to contact this girl (via MySpace or my friend) without being weird (since it would pretty much be out of nowhere)? Or does it seem hopeless, as we don't know one another.
Just because she's gorgeous, doesn't mean you need to chase her around. I say you should forget about her, because for all you know, she might not be a great person. Instead, look around your new college and pick out some girls that have great personalities and those who you like for their personalities, not looks. I wouldn't chase a girl if I were you without knowing anything about her.
First of all...I have the most high respect for you...for you and what you are doing for our country. I say GO FOR IT!! Say something flattering on myspace...you have so much in common to talk about... highschool.. come on lots to talk and chat about...don't give up unless you try....please give it a shot...I think I'm a well sorted mature women...go for it...and God Bless You....be strong..listen to your heart...you already know the answer.
It would be normal enough to message her on Myspace with "Hey we went to the same high school, you look familiar. "
But "Hey I talked to you once five months ago and have tracked you down" might scare her away.
I'm hoping your just a sweet, smitten guy not a creepy stalker here (fine line, but love is a strange thing). If you ARE a creepy stalker please disregard what I said and leave her alone.
