If a guy tells me he likes me a lot but he can't have a girlfriend right now. But he still spends a lot of time with you including making out or just plain hanging out and brings you around his friends, and treats me like he does like me around them, does he really like me or is he just playing around?
He may not be just using you like the girls here indicate. He may be a commitment phobe and not want to be tied down. If you feel bad about it, why not give him an ultimatum, but if you are having fun, why not keep having fun.
Playing around. You are a friend with benefits and as soon as he meets somebody that he wants to take that next step with, you will be kicked to the curb. And guess what: you can't complain because he never told you that you guys were serious. WE know that you were, but that is a little trick that men play. Either give him an ultimatum so that you can get it out in the open, or just leave it alone.
It seems your just a good friend with benefits either just move on or don't do anything with him unless you know that your relationship is going somewhere
