What is a way to gain confidence?

well you've got to surround yourself with people yourself with people who have self confidence in themselves also with people who accept you and respect you.ANother you can do is start doing something that your really good at or something that you have always wanted to do

self confidence is hard to just get. Try to surround yourself with people who make you feel good, not people who insult you. Whenever you feel down about yourself, remind yourself that you have friends, that you have your good points, and always try to improve how you feel about yourself by stopping bad habits. I know it can seem impossible to simply feel GOOD about yourself, but it can happen. just give it time and always try to improve.

Well I had/have self confidence issues. It just takes time, and age. People when they are younger usually have a lower self-confidence. It gets better as you grow up, move out of your parents house and have to live on your own. But one way that you can gain confidence is doing something that you are really good at ie) hobby. If you have confidence in what you are good at, you will find people that have similiar interests which is a good conversation starter. Try not hanging out with people that lower your confidence and make you feel bad. I had friends like that in highschool They have changed and they do not think the same way as me. This can greatly lower your confidence. So make sure you have friends that you have something in common with. Then the girls come. . . I am still a self conscious and shy person. Trust me, girls like shy guys, you just have to show your interest in some way. If you show the "shy signs" girls will know that you are interested.

Well, it is true to a certain extent that girls like a guy with confidence, but it depends on the girl.seriously, everyone is different, and different people have different tastes. Look around yourself and look at the different couples everywhere.you will see what I mean.

As for how you would gain confidence.there is no sure fired way of gettin it I'm afraid.I had the same problem, yes, I'm a girl, but hey, we have problems too.but the way I gained my confidence, was to be myself, and not care what other people thought. hard thing to do, but if you are happy with who you are, confidence will start oozing out of you. I started hanging out with my friends more, and they are a crazy bunch, but its because of their craziness, that I because more comfortable with who I was. Working in retail and going to uni also helped me, because I had to talk to different people all the time.

All things in consideration though.If you are usually skulking in dark corners, then I don't think that will attract any girl.that will just scare them.lol.
