Don't slap them. All you need to do is tickle them and their yours but do nothing else along the lines of slapping them on the butt. I think the ass slapping is a little much. Girls your age probably don't think it is too much but when you get a little older you may start having problems (college girls are not likely to think it is cute). I would be pissed off if a guy grabbed my ass.

Better to ease into such behavior with someone who essentially does the same to you. Don't lead with the ass slap. Start out just gently touching her hand. If she likes it, then tickle her hand for just a second. If she likes it continue on, Mr. Handy. Then you're safe.

The very fact that you're concerned and there has no sign that they dislike it proves that YOU are not a jerk. The action is a different story. While they may not mind it, and may even like it, it can hurt their reputation, I guess, to have that happen all the time. So I guess what I'm saying is that even if it's mutually enjoyable, it can still be demeaning. So I'd be careful about it.
