I totally agree with Darwinluver. I always put my guard down when speaking to married men. NOT because I'm trying to prove something to myself, but because I trust that they would respect their wives and speak to me with no ulterior motive.
Yes, there are women that want a "no-strings attached" rendezvous. Married men would be ideal candidates for that. Not too much good comes out of that - be good : )
UMMMM yeah. I've been part of the "NO STRINGS ATTACHED" thing. Like I tell these young cats, there are ALWAYS strings attached! LOL ;) - 6 months ago

Truth! everyone wants what they can't have. It is a good way for a single guy to get a one night stand. If a girl gets a married man she thinks she has done something or proved something. Thats just how things are if you told them that you weren't married or said it was a good luck ring while talking they would more than likely go away there is nothing to prove anymore.
I know that I am friendlier with guys wearing rings because it seems safe. I hope that they wouldn't cheat on their S.O's (although a couple of them have gone too far with me). With a ring, a girl knows right away a guys status, so they can let their guard down and be more open, because they know that nothing will come out of it. Also, have you thought about how you are projecting yourself to girls now? Maybe the ring is giving you more confidence to chat with girls that you would never talk to normally. I know that I have more confidence talking to guys when I am in a relationship because both of us know each others status. Does that make any sense?
I agree with lovebird, I haven't thought of that before. Maybe they just feel more comfortable knowing that you already have someone so there isn't going to be anything serious and you can talk purely for fun. It happens to me too actually, when I talk to girls I don't know, if they have a boyfriend or are married, I get less nervous and it can be easier/more fun to just talk with them... good point lovebird.
Maybe it's just the opposite effect. Girls feel they can flirt with no consequences because you're taken, and they don't expect or think you will flirt back, so they just do it without worrying about it. Kind of like a "practice"or a "freebie"?
I'm wearing a wedding band because it's the European custom for a man when engaged, and my fiance is from Finland. She asked me to wear it for her. I can't say that I've noticed any difference in female behavior around me. Of course I'm older, so that probably narrows the possibilities, anyway! (LOL)
My last boyfriend refused to put it on and it wasn't long after that we broke up. Better to know sooner that he didn't deserve it, let alone he wanted to. :) - 8 months ago

To Schmoopy, I can't imagine why any guy wouldn't want to wear a ring for the girl he loves. I'm proud to show that I'm taken by Taru, my Finnish gf, soon to be my wife. It shows her how much I love her! Sorry about your bf doing that to you. - 8 months ago
I don't know the answer to your question, but this question might be the answer to a very big question: How do I get more girls. Thanks for the tip. :)
