I have known this girl for about 4 and a half months. We have nicknames for each other, inside jokes and everything. It seems like we really know each other pretty good. We talk all the time, and a lot of nights, until really late. We are both really into sports and movies and that keeps us joking and having a lot of fun. She says I'm a phenomenal guy.
But about 4 weeks ago I found out that she has a boyfriend. I don't know how serious? I don't know how long? But it had always seemed like I had lots of her attention? What is going on? I am a year or two older than her if it helps. She's really smart and really hot and good at sports, and I think about her alot. And we hung out as friends before a couple times, but just for like half hour each time to get coffee or something to eat becuz of our schedules didn't match. And now she has a boyfriend. Or has had a boyfriend all this time- whatever- but whats up?
I had a similar situation happen where a guy I worked with became good friends and always wanted to hang out with me. We talked all the time and hung out getting coffee between classes. I found out from a mutual friend that he was dating someone, but that they were having problems. They eventually broke up and we started seeing more of each other. In the end, he didn't want anything serious with me and I was very hurt about it.
Yours could be a similar situation where she might not want to be with the other guy. She obviously likes you, it's hard to say how much. I agree with the other answers, you can stick it out and see what happens. She may break up with the other guy and start spending time with you. She may see you as a good friend. It would be best to ask her and tell her how you feel, but I warn you not to get too attached and get hurt.
It's hard to answer this question because obviously I don't know if she likes you more than a friend or not. maybe she just likes having a good boy/friend. Someone she can trust and have a laugh with. But she might like you more than just a friend but not tell you because she has a boyfriend, and that could be why she didn't tell you she has one. I really don't know how she feels or what she's thinking and if you want to find out I guess you would have to talk to her about it.
It sounds like you both get along really well, but it will be hard to pursue this relationship further if she has a steady boyfriend. You can continue to be friendly to her, and see what develops with the boyfriend.

Describe your ideal first date; Where do you go? What do you wear? How does the date end?
I would most likely be in blue jeans with a nice shirt or T-Shirt depending on where we go. Early in the date I would enjoy a quit dinner where we actually could talk and find out if we thought it might work. If things clicked ok, I might suggest that we go for a round of drinks and dance or go have a few drinks and shoot pool. If the weather is right we most likely would have been on my Harley.
Afterwards..what will your date know about you?
One she would have been able to judge if I as the type of guy she'd want to see again. The same goes here. I think I would have opened up enough to let her know my goals.
