He's a really sweet and funny guy but apparently whenever he tries to pick up or talk to cute girls he gets shy and thinks he's going to make a fool of himself and all that. Anybody got any tips for him? I can't think of anything to tell him.
Update: by the way this guy is basically like my older brother, I'm taken, and us going out would be awkward and like incest. I swear I am not in denial like most girls in this situation. we're just friends and that's all there is to it.

yeah I agree with impasole, if he's asking you for advice, and you're already friends, he most likely wants you... when you let him down let him down as easy as you can, cause if you're mean about it, he's not gonna have any confidence left and because guys are very egotistical (have a huge ego) if is confidence goes down, its a shot to his ego, and that's not good
Noooooo ughhhhhh! this is not that kind of situation at all. you people are driving me nuts!!! I'm happily taken by an amazing guy and even if I wasn't it would be like dating my older brother. completely out of the question. - 9 months ago
This is why there are 'lines', not to fool anyone, but just to keep conversation going when it might break off. Advise him to have a couple of sure fire conversation starters/test lines ready, such as 'what do you like to do Saturday night.' This is sure to get either, 'I'm not busy', or the girl will have to say she's not interested...just for example. It puts the ball in her court, so to speak.
Cuz sometimes a good friend (guy or girl) will like to help out another friend because of his "disability" of being shy aroubnd girls... I mean you can be honest and open with that friend, talk to him and stuff but keep it ONLY in the circle. friends who help eachothers friends are the best friends because they tell us what we are doing wrong or if we are being wierd, what we should change of our personality..... little things that help along the long road - 9 months ago

I want a boy who will move the hair away from my eyes, and then kiss me. Who will hold my hand in line at the mall and make all the girls jealous. A pretty boy, but not so pretty that I feel awkward....
