Asked someone I've known for a while if she'd like to get lunch sometime over instant messenger at college I think on Friday of last week. She said she was busy at the time and that she'd get back to me next week. How long should I wait before I bring this up again?
Update: I only have access to her screen name not her phone # I've known this person since elementary school.

it depends what's happened since you wrote this tbh.. if she hasn't brought it up again then she may have forgotten just drop it in 2 conversation in a jokey manner like "lol we still need 2 get lunch sometime remember?" if she's still a bit iffy and evasive then she probably doesn't want to get involved in that way
It seems like you've known this girl for a reaaally long time which is good for you because you know her and can gauge her better. First of all, you should really get her phone number. Next, I think you can definitely try and make plans again. If she keeps resisting plans and attempts to make progress she may not be in to you but is afraid to say it. On the other hand, if she seems willing to plan things she may just have been busy at the time and genuinely hasn't had a chance to contact you.
