Alright.. so, I know every girl in the world has probably posted this question.. but I am really stuck. I've been friends with this boy for a while. My ex and I actually used to hangout with him together.
We are now both single, and he has recently contacted me and he makes plans with me at least once a week to go out on "adventures", which usually consists of driving somewhere relatively far to meet up with some of his friends, whom I don't know.
Last night, he called me up, last minute, (as usual), and we went on a half hour journey to meet up with some people. He sat right next to me on the tightly packed couch, but even when someone got up and there was more room he moved over a bit, but was still just inches away. When he turned to talk to me, I swear he would get closer somehow, because our shoulders would end up against one another. As we were getting ready to leave, he asked some of the kids if there were any good places to eat around. We got in the car and he asked if I was hungry, and then insisted on going somewhere that was new to both of us, so we did. We ordered together and I told him I only had a twenty on me, and he immediately said he would pay, that it was no big deal. We got wings and such, so the food was SUPER messy. I have a habit of covering my mouth after every bite, he became aware of this and told me to not do it, to just eat and feel comfortable, no matter how messy, and that he would do the same. He laughed and joked with me the whole time and when we talked our eyes were locked together. His eyes seemed to be glistening, but he is naturally pretty charismatic, so I'm not sure if I'm looking too much into this. He smiles so much and he seems really comfortable with me, but is it just because we're familiar with eachother? Every time we hangout, he makes a date in the future where we can get together, like inviting me to go to a party he plans on attending, or a day at the waterpark. He tells me how awesome I am , when, at the last minute, I'm willing get up and ready to venture out with him I'm going to admit, I do have a crush on this guy, and I have since I met him, even when I was with someone. It makes me nauseous to think of how much I want to just touch him. My fingers start to tingle and I get butterflies. When we sat next to each other I so badly wanted to just lean into him or rest my hand casually on his leg, and see what he did, but I didn't want to chance it, because he is a great friend. I don't want to jump to any conclusions or make any assumptions about the state of our relationship, or how he feels towards me, but I definitely get a good feeling from him. What do you think? I need harsh, honest opinions here. Are my feelings getting in the way of my view?
I'm stuck in the same situation. :( I feel so much chemistry when I'm with him and I feel like we connect in so many ways. There's an article in this site by Genesis5 saying the only way to find out if a guy likes you is if he's always around you. But that's not necessarily true because another reason why he likes to be with you so much is because he appreciates you as a good friend. I really don't know what to do either. :( I want to tell him I like him so badly because I have this strong feeling he feels the same way but I'm really scared of ruining our friendship, it means so much to me! :'(
My god, tell me about it. I feel like I'm just going to explode sometimes, trying to hold back and not being pushy about it. And I do want to say something to him, but yeah, I don't want him to be like, "wow, why would she think that? what's wrong with her?".. etc. - More than a year ago

Exactly!! I find it weird we are really good friends and I don't know who he likes. I've been trying to get answers from other people but it's not working. I just don't know what to do! :( I feel like I'm wasting my time on this. Life is short and all about taking chances, I just wish I had the guts to confess my feelings. What about you? I don't know how I would tell, him, like I said, I don't want him to think I'm some like, crazy freak or something. And yeah, he never talks about other girls or anything when I'm with him. I think next time we hangout and we're close together, I'm going to make the move and lean a little closer. If I had to actually say something, I'm not sure how I would say it, maybe that's why I haven't done that yet. :) - More than a year ago

Haha, we were just hanging out talking and such and I put my hand down next to his and moved a bit closer and he took my hand and got a bit flustered but I smiled so he took my arm and held it too and I looked at him again and he smiled and kissed me!! it was soo great, HAPPIEST DAY THIS MONTH!!!! lol, I am in like, the greatest mood now. thank you so much for listening and giving me a little boost of courage!! - More than a year ago

I think he does like you but to what extent I don't know. He obviously values your presence. It's really hard to tell what he's thinking because you said he's so charismatic. The only way to find out is to talk to him about it.
