I have this cute guy at work and I try hard control myself not looking at him because I'm totally aware that he's already taken. We've been working together for more than a year, and he shows me some strange actions. I don't even know if we are just hanging out or dating for we always eat together (just me and him). If I think its dating then I'll feel that "assuming". Strange actions like grabbing my hand and putting it to his face, borrowing my jacket and smells it saying "i love the smell of your jacket", telling flattering words (i don't know if is this full honesty or bluff or what) words like, "i like you because you are optimistic, cool, funny, you know how to deal things around you, you're smart, blahblahblah. I found that we got lots in common even the music we listen too. (by the way, he plays guitar really good and I love it every time he plays, he even sing and play my favorite songs, I do know if he really intend to do that). He even shares me his dreams in life. He knows I'm athletic girl and totally into healthy living. Strange, he just became into healthy living too, he even shows me off his cute toned arms (wow! ). He even asks me "can you teach me those swimming moves that you do? , do you want to jog with me? Or. Can you teach me how to ride that mountain bike of yours?. Honestly, I'm already falling, but I'm just controlling it for I feel like stealing him away from his girlfriend. I totally like him, I'm just afraid if I'm showing wrong actions might drive him away or have the feeling of being "assuming". It's a waste if I loose him. Please help I'm confused! How should I act on this. I never had a "real" boyfriend for sports is always in my mindset. But I never felt like this before. Help! I need your opinions please
Form my opinion (guys), I would say don't take it any further until he is single, however do not try to "make" it that way. Hehe Put yourself in his girlfriends shoes and think of what your actions could cause, that poor girl would be heartbroken. What I would do is just leave things as it is until situations change, because what is the worst that could happen, you end up with a really close friend either way right, and trust me, good friends are hard to find these days.
Yeah but that's the thing..he's taken but acts that way around her. I'm in the same situation I have a male friend I've known 1 1/2 years...he's taken but he does those exact same things around me too like this girl's situation except that with my guy he's more playful, flirty, and he's always wanting to know about me in a concerned/protective way...but then some days he's indifferent and doesn't even say hi...so I mean if people are taken...why do guys act that way.. - 2 months ago
It sounds like he is confused or a player one, I hope for your sake he is confused. If it is that he is confused them maybe you should give him time to think. Like maybe having it prearranged to eat with some of the girls you work with and always be to busy to talk to him right when he wants you too. Keep him waiting a little before answering him. Using a little jealousy might help as well, flirt a little in an innocent way with a few of the single guys, then when he shows Jealousy, pretend you do not see it but be sure that he is around or will hear about your flirting. He may need a wake up call but start with the not being available and eating with the girls for a few months first then when he is chasing you around, then move on to light flirting that he can see or hear about. I know it will be hard on you to eat away from him and act like he is just a casual friend but think about if he takes the time and breaks it off with his girl friend and comes after you, then you will have nothing to be guilty about because it will be his choice totally with out you waying on the choice by what you say to him. Anything worth having has to be fought for, so if you really want him use those skills that every woman has and always look and smell your very best when he is around but if he comments just say yeah I thought I would jazz up a bit and see what's out there :) GL2U
