OK first of all like Jarett said try not to ask yes/no questions that will not lead you anywhere! If she starts talking to you about something then try asking questions about what she's talking about and that can lead to another topic and then it justs keeps going. Or you can ask her a question about work, school, plans, maybe you could find out some things about her and ask her something about that. Remember pay attention.
Try to ask very few yes/no questions, because those are dead end questions. Once she's given a yes or no, then the conversation dies, and you have to unnaturally keep it going. Instead find out about her likes, dislikes. Ask her about her job, career, school, where she would like to be in a couple years. Ask her about her favorite movies, hobbies. Try to let her do most of the talking and just listen intently
