I am naturally built and have a tendency to build my thighs when trying to lose weight. Many ask if I am an athlete. My answer is no. I am pretty toned naturally but I need to lose so much excess weight. I do not want to build anymore although I do need to tone my tummy area some more.
I have talked to my doctor about this. He told me to do cardio. What are some suggestions for cardio workout.
Also I was running and I was only building my thighs. So he told me to walk slow but go longer.
DIET!!!! There is an equation to weight calories in - calories out= weight gain/loss try cutting a lot of calories out of your diet its the only real way to lose weight, cardio will help boost your metabolism a little, and burn some calories but DIET will be the deciding factor. I'm not saying don't eat, but you women that many calories a day if they are trying to lose weight about 1500 is fine.
If your thighs are muscular then spot train the other areas, e. G. Arms, stomach, calves, and forgo any training which focuses on the thighs.
Have you tried rowing? It exercises quite a few muscle groups and is an excellent cardio routine and while it does involve the large muscle groups in the thighs, perhaps if you do develop the other muscle groups that it will not be as noticeable perhaps.
