More popular? I think Superman is more popular, though I like 'em both I would have to say I like Batman more, to me he is actually talented, skilled, and is extremely intelligent and I admire that more over brut strength and such that he just naturally gets because of his race, Batman doesn't have it that easy, he builds all of his stuff, I mean he even carries around Kryptonite in his belt in case Superman turns bad, yea I'm comic geek so I know a little bit about all this and have actually weighed my decision, so in my opinion Superman is more popular, but Batman is my favorite especially the darker grittier version of him and his comics.
No real comparison . Superman wins hands down . The mark of a real superhero is that they're not all-powerful . Superman has his real weaknesses, yet he has amazing strengths too . Batman is just dull . Z-z-z-z ! BORING ! Superman also has great villains . Batman has one or two memorable ones, like the joker and Poison Ivy, but with Superman it is just incomparable . Lex Luthor and General Zod are just deliciously diabolical . Cool . 'Nuff said .
Superman Saves the world-has super powers/nerdy alter ego. Batman saves gothem city-has money and intelligence/cool alter ego. And michelle phfiffer and Haley Berry are catwomen, and Uma Thurman and Kim Bassinger are Poison Ivy; I'd rather be batman, hands down!
He has no superpowers, he's just a normal guy with tons of cash to spend on gadgets, which makes him a geek and yet the coolest guy ever. Plus, have you seen the batmobile? Total chick magnet.
Then you've got Superman, who's some wuss reporter who happens to have superpowers that make him pretty much invincible. Whooptie do, I could fight crime like that too if I was indestructible and had pretty much every power I needed in any situation (flying, xray vision, etc). Superman is a total tool, strip him of his magic and he's just some dick reporter.
Batman on the other hand, with his tortured past and complete lack of supernatural powers makes him the ultimate badass.
BATMAN much better character. Nothing really hurts superman except kryptonite which makes his character a little blah. But I'll admit if I had to choose between which one I would rather be I would choose to be Superman.
*stares at her Batgirl doll* Batman, I mean it takes some dedication to do all that training without any superpowers, and risk your life knowing you're not indestructible. plus what girl wouldn't want their date to pick them up in the bat mobile - "what does this button do? " *pushes latter to find that missiles shoot out* so I says Batman hands down and if you're his date you can go from pushing car buttons to pushing his buttons :)
