a journal for my thoughts... I've been thinking about getting one who here thinks that I should do that? And if you think that I should get one ,do you have one?
It is, by far I think, one of the most effective ways to vent any anger that you're feeling at the time of writing. You can get whatever off your chest, and it's for your eyes only.
Like other posters have commented, it can be very useful to keep a record of your thoughts, memories and experiences - to express how you feel about situations, and in retrospect, to see how much you have grown or changed. I kept one from age 12-16, stopped, and then started again when I was 20 and have kept at it ever since.
I think it is a very good idea. I am a sporadic journal writer, but when I do write I find it helpful to organize my thoughts and experiences, and I find it helps sharpen my thinking. I also find it worthwhile to occasionally look back and see interesting or important things I wrote. I find it helpful to chart my own life course and progress and keep the details sharp.
I've kept a journal ever since I could write. I still have all of them to this day. I find it extremely important to keep--not only for memories but to release things that are on my mind. It's very soothing to get stuff out of my mind and onto paper. I'd recommend keeping a journal, It would be the best idea.
I have one and do write in it on occasion. I think it helps to sort out your emotions and you don't have to worry about it telling anyone lol :) It's good to write about stuff that you're going through or anything along those lines. So I'd definately encourage getting one :)
i have one --and I'm 22-- I have one since I was 12 or 14?---i can't remember...but...
Its a good way to write down your feelings -especially the ones that you feel like you can't share with anyone (not even your boyfriend, mom, sister, brother or best friend) ...
I write down anything from school..to work to people to stress ---anything that is bothering and I just feel like I need to write it all down...
..and when you reach a certain again--it's a good way to look back and see how much you have grown...
..and it doesn't have to be a "book" ( I use to have a Journal book" but now I just blog all my thoughts and I had a phase where I wrote all my thoughts in microsoft word and then I saved it and made a folder to store it in there and then I eventually printed it out. ..but its a good way to reflect.. ...it's like talking to yourself ...(kinda..)
Lol--well "mentally" talking your self-- ..i mean if you have a journal ---your only audience is yourself and it's kinda like having a monologue .... - 2 months ago
