Doesn't it bother you when you really work hard on an answer and the asker comments on it and really loves it, but no one is awarded best answer?!?! From this point on I take a pledge to recognize the best answer for all my questions asked. Will you do that to?
It only mattered when I had less than 100 Xper. After I passed that boundary, I stopped caring about Xper. But independent from Xper, I am flattered when a question asker agrees with me so much as to give me the best answer.
Yeah, I never thought of it that way, but its kind of like getting positive feedback on EBay! (LOL) Good point! Everyone should close their questions by doing it!
It doesn't bother me really. I have questions that are just for fun and ask for general answers that don't require much thought so I won't pick one for those. Or sometimes, actually a lot of times, I can't choose among the answers because they're all good and deserve to be the best answer. I assume that others go through this as well.
To be honest, it really doesn't bother me that much at all if no one gets awarded best answer for a question that I answered. I'm not here for the Xpers, I'm here to ask and answer questions. :)
On most of my questions, I still get new answers fairly regularly, so to pick a best answer when I'm still getting in a couple new responses a week seems premature. But I'll keep an eye on this question, and if it turns out that lots of people are bothered by this, I'll go ahead and pick best answers.
Well, I'm the type that likes to see rewards for my good work. If I put a lot of effort into this site by continuously giving feedback, I like to see that my time adds up in Xper points, sort of like getting paid for the job you do. If I really like someones answer to my question, I like to give them the credit they deserve. you know? - 4 months ago
Ahahaha. Good point. I think part of the problem is people who ask questions want to wait for all the answers to be in before awarding a best answer, but then they sort of forget about that question when the answers really do stop. I know it happens to me all the time!
This is true, but nevertheless I agree it can be frustrating. Lol - 4 months ago

Yeah, I know what you mean. I write really long answers sometimes and then wonder if anyone even bothered to read it, lol. I'm going to try to start selecting bests more often! - 4 months ago

What pickup lines do you use to start a conversation with someone you are attracted to?
Well normally I don't usually make the first move only if I'm brave enough to. I can be pretty shy when it comes to that. I would never use pick-up lines. They never work. I would just do a normal "Hey, how are you? My name is ______ ______. What's yours?"
How do they typically respond?
They usually just smile and respond to the question. I like girls when they smile, it leaves a picture in my mind and it remembers me of them better.
I just thought I'd speak out about this because I'm 18 years old my friends range from 16 to 19 but a lot of my friends and people I know are 16 /17! And to be honest I'm shocked that girls now a days...
