Well, it seems like every time I help someone, they end up screwing it up. I used to let people borrow money, but they never pay me back. Or I let someone borrow a paper for classes and they end up turning it in as theirs. Another case is I let someone borrow a game of mine that is hard to find and they broke it. How am I suppose to trust people again?
Look, if your going to be a doormat, people will step on you.
Demand the money back and demand the person who broke the game to pay you. It's that easy, if you just slap them on the wrist. They will continue to do screw you.
Stop helping people who don't give you any return.
You're putting your eggs in baskets with holes. Either stop putting eggs in those baskets or find ones that work.
I have learned to not just lend things out to people. There are even some friends of mine that I won't lend things too because I know they don't take care of things.
As far as lending money goes, I have made it a rule, that if I can't GIVE the money to someone (as in, not lending, but just letting them have it), then I won't lend it. Otherwise you risk hurting friendships and even family ties over money issues.
You have to build the trust though. That unfortunately takes time.
Yes, you will find in time.But take it slow and wait to get to know someone first.,action speaks louder then words. Give yourself sometime to heal from any emotional relationship.You need to feel good about you before other good things happen.
We have all been through that trust issue but someday sooner then you think you will find real friends who care and show you what it is to be a true friend. Also maybe after feeling better join a club or do something you like and try not to worry so much and stay focused on what you can do for yourself go shopping and take care of you instead of you worrying about this person or that person who has let you down. Everyone needs to take care of there self.
