And how can a not attractive, regular plain jane become pretty? I think I'm fat and I'm not pretty and I'm tired of being the ugly girl so what can I do to look better
A girl does not have to be a playboy playmate or a swimsuit model to be attractive. She does have to care about her health. I find health a very important thing and a girl who I would like must agree with me. She can have maybe 10 - 20 % body fat and that's probably OK. I won't accept more than that though. I think I'm being lenient in my tastes here.
I'm sorry, but I don't like overweight girls because they are overweight, but because they don't hold their health with high regards. That to me is a personality flaw; an overweight girl reveals quite a lot to me about her character. I don't mean to criticize you, but you are asking for my honest opinion, so I am sharing it. If you have less than 20% body fat, then you are probably not fat.
Another thing that I find attractive is femininity. I like a girl to wear clothes that are feminine and wash her hair with flower-smelling shampoos. I like her to wear blouses, skirts, and tops that are feminine. Blue jeans and a sweater or T shirt don't do any good. I understand everybody wears blue jeans in this country, so have a feminine top to go with them.
Long, brushed, and maintained hair is very attractive. Actually most guys don't like short hair unless you have it done by a really good professional. Putting your hair up on a regular basis is not really attractive. When I see a girl with long hair blowing in the wind, that catches my attention (and other guy's too).
A girl who wears too much makeup is not attractive. So I like girls with moderate amounts of makeup. And the most important characteristic a girl can have to be attractive is intelligence!
I agree that they shouldn't have to be a play mate but if a girl is fat it doesn't mean she hold here heath in little regards she could be genetically built to retain fat and their are a lot of health problems you are born with that makes it very hard to lose weight no matter what you try. Its not always the persons fault. No one likes or chooses to be fat. - 9 months ago

I've met too many people who choose to be fat or don't care. There is no excuse for having more than 20% body fat. - 9 months ago
I'm not fat but I do study the matter in psycholgy and a major factor is genetics. Identical twins raised in different families will be the same weight, but an adopted child despite eating the same amount as the rest of the family can be fat whilst the rest of the family skinny. - A month ago

I am skinny because I have a low fat diet (surprise surprise). My dad is pretty fat, has high blood pressure, has high cholesterol, has to take Lipitor, and has an extremely unhealthy diet and lifestyle (surprise again). I do not buy this genetic BS! I never will. - A month ago
Haha, anonymous girl, I think it's really cool you asked this question, it sounds like you're finally ready for change. I'll have to tell you first off though as a personal disclaimer, the process for a caterpillar to become a butterfly is lengthy, and likewise, it won't be easy for you to change, but it is definitely possible and it's something all people should strive for. Okay well, what qualities and features should a girl have? Well since the sight of a girl is based on physicality, we'll leave the personality alone as I'm sure you're good in that department. Well once you get the weight down, it's all about the face and body. Nice legs, nice boobs, nice butt are always a plus. That's essentially what we look at. A pretty face, nice hair and nice feet are good too. The first thing you can do to look pretty is believe that you are pretty. You see these girls out here who many guys adore (not me of course, as such little girls are meaningless to me)? Well yes, they look hot, but they know they're hot too. You're inside has to be right first before we can work on your outside. For an ipod to work well it has to have the right mechanics and electronics on the inside first, right? It may look good and it may look like it works, but it's all about what's going on inside of it. So. Once you realize that you are pretty and that you aren't fat, then you can move toward the outside. Plain and simple. You need to exercise. Run on the treadmill for about 2 hours a day at a speed you feel comfortable with (see, I told you it wasn't going to be easy). Next, your diet. You need to stop eating all those hot links and fried chicken. Pick up a salad, eat fruit and veggies only. For breakfast, eat a bagel with no spread and have an apple. Drink some water after. Your diet should consist of primarily no meat or dairy. Only a small amount of these should be eaten every week. Do these two things consistently and you'll have guys staring at your ass and thinking naughty thoughts about you within a matter of 5 months (I know this isn't something you want to hear, oh what am I talking about yes it is! ) Guys will check you out and get boners and you'll love it lol.
You are really stupid you know that? When a girl is dieting she should eat primarily lean meats and dairy. Eating fruits carbs and veggies all day is horrible for you. You need to be on a healthy well-balanced diet. Lean meats and dairy actually help you lose weight faster. - 8 months ago

I'm really stupid? How old are you again? Oh wait I remember, 16. Listen sammy kid, I know what I'm talking about that's why I have 2 up arrows to your 1 down arrow. The votes of 2 others supersedes your lack of knowledge. Lean meats are good for protein but they still have fat. That's why it's called lean (low fat meat). And dairy has fat as well. That's why I've introduced a virtually 0% diet to this girl. As she slims down I (me and only me, not you) will put meat in her diet---(done) - 8 months ago
Question Asker
Um, don't you need some fat to survive? I think she should eat very lean meats like grilled chicken and turkey for fat & protein. Dairy is not really necessary, I don't eat dairy. - 8 months ago
Answerer
Yes you do need some fat to survive, but luckily you're already equipped with that. Lol, don't make it an everyday habit, eat a little bit of meat about twice a week. Have you gone to work yet on the Suave Man Plan? Are you working out? - 8 months ago
Question Asker
Yeah, I started working out. People have already commented that I look smaller! =D
I was not in shape at all when I first asked this question so 2 hours a day running would have probably killed me lol. I have been doing 45 minutes a day on the treadmill but I'm gonna up it to an hour. I quit eating red meat, fried food, sugar, sodas and all of that junk. I'm actually considering going vegan thanks for your help <3 - 8 months ago

First I think it's important to be able to look at yourself the way other people see you. And please, don't think in terms of 'fat' and 'ugly'. Try to find out what shape you have! (if you are overweight and you think you would feel better by losing some weight, go for it! ) Very few girls are 'natural beauties'. There is no point in envying them because they are who they are and you are who you are.
You don't have to be a natural beauty to be attractive. Being attractive is about something else, it's about looking the best YOU can look, being interesting (and everybody can be interesting, trust me), having fun, loving yourself, loving life,.
Make a list of things you would like to change about yourself (but make it realistic), find out what you have to do to make those changes happen, get inspired by people (friends, famous people,. ) you look up to. Try out some makeup at home (just the basics already really make a difference: some mascara, foundation and maybe a little eyeliner). Once you know what shape your body has (pear, apple, hourglass,. ), go shopping! Clothes can really make you feel better about yourself, looking nice in things you like but make sure you buy items that flatter your body, it makes such a difference.
You can make a change, anybody can make a change. It might take some effort but seeing result can be so much fun! Once you feel good about yourself, you'll start acting different, confident, happy.
Well I've gone through this in my life too. I changed A LOT about myself, to the point where people don't even recognize me physically. The best thing that I did was that I went to a makeup specialist (they have them in big department stores, like Macys and Bloomys). Well anyways I had someone do my makeup for me at one of the makeup counters and tell me what colors to use and how to apply it. Putting on makeup takes practice, so of course you're not going to look perfect the first time you apply makeup yourself. But getting tips from someone who's a professional definitely helps. That experience definitely made a HUGE change in my appearance and how I view myself. And I'm guessing some people are going to be like "you shouldn't wear makeup, blah blah blahhhh. " Well honestly no one is flawless, everyone needs a little makeup even if its just a simple lip gloss. Its a girly thing.
As for your weight issue, if you're not comfortable with your body then you should definitely make changes. But not to look good and for other people. You have to want to loose weight, and be determined to do so. But most importantly you have to do it for yourself. That makes you stronger, and gives you the strength to loose it.
But the most important thing to me is that you should have confidence. That's the sexiest thing anyone can wear. It shows that you're happy with who you are and that you're strong. But I'm not going to lie, confidence is not something that comes easy and over night. You gotta build up to that.
There comes a time in every persons life that you are forced to take a look at the friends you have and be happy for what you have, and for what you once had. I sit here this thanksgiving looking back...
Hi, how are you? How many times have you heard that? Thousands? And the answer is always the same.Lets assume for a second that Im talking to a stranger, and instead of the normal answer; Im fine,...
