I know this is not a question, but I just want to ask for your prayers for those who lost loved ones and for a quick recovery for those wounded. We live on post here at Fort Hood, and it was very scary to just be on lockdown and told to not leave my home until told otherwise. It was even worse to have my husband call and him be stuck in the middle of it all. Pretty emotionally exhausting and I wasn't even much of a part of it other than I live on the post. So please keep everyone in your prayers tonight. The entire post and city is just in complete shock. Several of us wives have started a chain and many people are following and are wearing black and yellow ribbons tomorrow to honor those fallen today. We've gotten over a thousand civilians and military alike just on Facebook to agree to participate.
Update: Thank you everyone for your prayers and good thoughts. It means a lot to those who lost loved ones, those recovering, and those of us who are recovering just from the shock of it all.

There are good Muslims out there. One of my husband's close friends and his battle buddy in his troop his part Muslim. He's a great guy and an outstanding United States Soldier. I fear for him and the harassment he will most likely face in the upcoming months. A few bad apples don't make and entire race or religion bad. There are extremists everywhere. - 13 days ago

I wouldn't really call is just a "few" bad apples but you are right, they're not all bad. I just wish I could go into this guys prison cell or hospital room and saw his head off and send the video to the Taliban. - 12 days ago
Question Asker
Yeah they ended up moving him from the hospital here at Hood as soon as they could. I think they were worried with the families here someone would try something like that. I hope he is very uncomfortable and they give him NO pain meds. That's the LEAST he deserves. I wonder if he'll get the death sentence or life in prison.... - 12 days ago

God, that's just horrible. It gets worse with every passing day. I tend to be more angered above all else when something like this happens and wonder just why it does. The ones that died are in my prayers as well-
You have mine. These men and women have to worry about their safety in Iraq and Afghanistan. They shouldn't have to worry about it when they are on a base in the states.
I'm extremely sorry about the circumstances. You guys are in my prayers for sure, and my heart goes out to your family and those around you. Stay strong! Much love from Florida.
