Yep I think they are very real. Some of the things are so accurate-some of the characteristics for each sign are spot on.

Nah, you really can't perfectly pigeonhole any individual human being. However some things can be surprisingly accurate. I'm an aquarius and - big surprise - I'm creative, artistic, independent, free-spirited and open minded. I'm with an Aries, which Aquarius is highly compatable with. See, some of it fits sometimes. Don't live by it though, I think it's more for fun and a great ice breaker or conversation starter. ;)

no, it's not real. it's people who don't like the idea that our fates are governed by ourselves and other people. they don't like how unpredictable that is, so they try and predict what's going to happen by making very general statements about people's personalities based on what star sign they are born under. they get swept up with it because they want life to be predictable and they focus on when the charts seem to be right, but ignore all the times that they're wrong and they ignore the fact that anything star charts say can be applied to just about everyone.
