I will be buying a used car, no more than $1500, so what is the best insurance to get? I don't want full insurance, just insurance to have on the car. I want insurance that's cheap, so what should I get? and how much will I be paying a month for the insurance?

If you want the absolute lowest insurance payment, get only insurance coverage for liability and uninsured motorist. But if there's a loan, the lender may require full collision coverage (which you can drop once you pay off the car). Get the highest deductible you can afford ... but also ensure that you eventually actually have the cash set aside for the deductible or to buy another $1000 car.
I recommend that you shop around for a particular company. Especially visit independent insurance agents who can shop several different companies. Shop locally -- a local office can often give better rates than an online service. If your employer might have a preferred provider, too -- I work for the public schools, and get a killer group deal from Horace Mann Insurance.
How much you'll pay for insurance will vary based on your state/region, your driving record and the car. But my educated guess, assuming a clean driving record, is that a woman your age driving an older car will pay in the $80 per month range.
i like geico and my fiance likes state farm...we're both excellent drivers and we pay like 70 a month for insurance...we're both like 28 tho...when I was in school my parents put me on their insurance and it was hella cheap because I took a little "drivers' safety course" Make sure you also tell them if you have a security system in your car...just check google for more tips
If you must get a loan to buy the car, the lender will enforce you to put full coverage on the car. As for the best insurance Traveler's was the best I ever had before I moved to a Southern State.
No I will not be getting a loan. I will be buying it out of my pocket. so will I need to have full insurance? - 14 days ago

No, you will not, in that case, need full coverage. Liability (meaning what ever you hit with the car will be paid for) wil be the minimum required by law. When buying a car via a loan it's not your money buying the car so the lender wants their money investment fully protected. - 14 days ago
