Is it really fair to have people of the same sex be able to rate you on reality checks?

Well even if you weren't able to rate your own gender, then you run into a different problem where you may have a homosexual person rating you when they would never be interested in dating you at all. Either they couldn't give you a fair evaluation or they might "hate" on you as well. Limiting a rating system by gender would only be important if you had different rating scales for the same person. You could select what category (you the rater) fall under, and then make your evaluation of the person. That way your data is better represented to the viewers of the 1-10 scale.

I think the rating system will always be flawed... you can do just about anything on the Internet and not be accountable for it.

I don't think that Guys have a problem rating other guys. I mean, it is a VERY objective thing to say that someone is attractive or not.

I can admit that a man is more attractive than I may be, and I can also learn from him. Don't forget that there is more than looks that count.

I think that this problem exists more for girls than guys. <----Double Standard, I realize, but I don't think that it is a chronic problem for dudes.

Wow, as a bi girl (who leans towards the homo side!), I have never even thought about that! I see a hot chick and I don't think mean things about her... I think "how can I get her number?". I guess my answer to your question is: yes, it is fair because you have to keep the gay people in mind; the lesbians who think like straight men and the gay men who think like straight women! It all balances out in the end! LOL!

I think it isn't fair because it biases the score. Women rate pretty women low when they are jealous.

I soooo agree. I think that's sad really shows a lot of girls are insecure really that's why they hate on other girls but I reckon its cause guys set the bar too high. Like not everyone can be super models I guess that's why other chicks rate other girls poorly due to that sad though

I agree. I'm honest when I rate girls, but it's true that a lot of girls will rate you poorly just to make themselves feel better, and that is definitely an immature way of going about it! I think there should be an option when you create your Reality Check to say you want only girls, only guys, or both guys and girls to be able to rate you. I also think that if you choose to have both sexes rate you, then you should be able to see your scores from both guys and girls separately.
