LEGALIZE DRUGS. Think about it. If you get past, oh no they are drugs, part then you are good. There is a huge revenue producing opportunity here. It is an act that could not only help put to rest our national debt but it could also jump start the economy and put people back to work. While, at the same time, reducing crime. There you have it. Get over the stigma and it is an act that can greatly improve society and our way of life. After all, there is little philosophical difference between what we call drugs and alcohol and tobacco.

Public nudity. People are way to uptight about sh*t. People watch porn sleep around and do other sexual things what would really be the problem with public nudity. If you don't feel comfortable with it than keep your cloths on but the rest of us need to breath.

NAFTA (was that it? The law the Clinton passed that allowed American companies to outsource to foriegn soil) would be repealed and very large tarriffs would be applied to importing foriegn goods other than vehicles.

Reagans opening of the flood gates for immigration would be reveresed. Immigration would still be legal but it would have to be done the right way, learning english and taking an oath to lead the American way of life and such. Those illegals in the country already have 1 year to apply for citizenship or leave.

The clean air act would be redone to be a bit more leinient, lessen the pressure on emissions.

Weed and coke and heroin and all that sh*t would be legalized to put the drug dealers out of buisness, but DUI and public intoxication laws would be enforced on them, keep it at home.

Animal abuse would be bumped up to a felony, you kill an animal it's murder, you beat an animal it's felony battery.

Corperate executive compensation would be closely watched, people who have shares in that company's stock will be notified of possible overindugence.

Stock Broker offices, homes and cars would be bugged.

I'm sure there are more but I'm tired...

troamundos I agree with some of those international laws, especially clean air and immigratoin. However why the animal rights? I'm pretty sure your reasoning is to elevate the value of animals, but I think it would have the effect of reducing the value of humans. Animal abuse should be taken seriously, but not because animals are as valuable as humans, but because the mentality of someone who would abuse a helpless dog may develope into abuse against helpless people. - 3 months ago
troamundos Its like if parents go nuclear on their kids for staying out late, what is left for the parents to do when their kids steal their parents credit card and car and charge it to the max? Also, what are your views on animal research? Its a law that drugs can't be used on humans until they're proven to exibit certain effects on animals. And are you a vegitarian? - 3 months ago
Answerer I'm not a vegetarian no, but I have issues with people who are so cowardly as to abuse a domesticated animal.

Most dogs and cats are definitly not defeseless, but they never do something to provoke abuse, a good smack when they act up once in a while is one thing, full blown abuse, to me, is sickening. - 3 months ago

Make animal abuse the same as committing the same crime to a human...

legalise pot and cocaine in order to destroy the blackmarket where criminals get filthy rich at the expense of innocent people... I don't believe legalising it will encourage people to start using, if they want to they would already be using drugs... and then focus the money to education and preventing people from using

Answerer I'm not a vegitarian by choice. Due to my illness. I can relate to animals due to animals don't have a voice/say in the world to tell others about the conflicts they face today or in the future. We should have more respect for animals due to the fact we have learned self control and have the option to talk things out. Animals don't have that option and who are we to take away their life. - 3 months ago

Girls are not allowed to ask their boyfriends if the dress they are wearing makes their but look big. Make it illegal I say.

Also statute of limitations should be impossed on dumb things guys said years ago that are brought up in arguments by girls. Limitations period of say 1mths so that anything said prior to that can not be used in an argument against a guy.

It should be illegal for a girl to fake and orgasm.

Girls must ask for what they want. Hints should be illegal they don't work.

I would try to change any law that tried to enforce someone's idea of morality. Morality cannot be legislated.

troamundos "All laws declare one behavior right and one behavior wrong, which is the very definition of morality. When people say morality cannot be legislated, they should be saying that legislation cannot change hearts. While this is true, changing hearts is not the purpose of laws....Regardless of one's personal convictions, laws encourage a certain behavior by citizens. The question is not then can we legislate morality, but whose morality do we legislate?" Casey's Critical Thinking

Honestly, even though I don't do it anymore. I think pot should be legal. It would get us out of this recession, clean out about 80% of the blocks in our jail and prison systems to make room for violent offenders, people would chill the f*** out, and all the potheads would quit complaining about it being illegal. I have smoked so much pot in one sitting that if it were alcohol, I would have had enough to give like 10 people alcohol poisoning but all that really happened was I got tired and fell asleep. You can't overdose on it, people been using it for over 5,000 years, and it is the BIGGEST cash crop in the US even though the revenue is only from one state. Coming from someone who doesn't smoke it, I say legalize it! Then maybe I would.

Cougargrl In Canada our pot laws seem a bit more lax than yours. Mostly now if you just get caught with a doobie in your pocket or are dumd enough to get caught actually smoking, the cop will just make you flush it. Alternatively, up to an ounce (I think) is just a ticket - think parking fine. We also have a government sponsored medicinal weed program for people with certain diseases - doctor orders it, government send it to you! Our society has not gone to hell, but we are pretty hungry! - 4 months ago

armyant 60% of rape accusations turn out to be fabricated. How exactly are you going to house all those women on tax dollars? - 4 months ago
Camilus The answer is simple Armyant, legalize marijuana and set everyone free who is in prison for it. - 4 months ago
Answerer There's no sense in criminalizing marijuana while beer and tobacco are legal (and more harmful). So I'd be okay with legalizing & taxing weed to support larger women's prisons.

I don't use any drugs and never have. They all damage your health if overused. But if forced to choose, I'd rather hang with weed smokers than drinkers, any day of the week. I've seen lots of violent drunks, but never seen a violent stoner.

bunny420 Is this if it's proved they're false charges or if the men are found "innocent". - 4 months ago
Answerer Also, I forgot this, so thanks to armyant for mentioning it:

Depending on the study, somewhere between 25% and 80% of rape charges against men are lies. Most commonly, a woman claims she was raped to cover her own lies, but _someone else_ actually calls the cops (her friends or family).

More info: http://www.mediaradar.org/research_on_false_rape_allegations.php - 4 months ago
Answerer Bunny 420:

I'd vote for penalizing women when it's established that she _knowingly_ accused an innocent man. There are cases of honest misidentification, cases where the cops screw up an investigation, so I think it'd be unfair to penalize an accuser in cases like that. - 4 months ago
bunny420 So when she's proved to knowingly accuse an innocent man of rape. Isn't it illegal to accuse people of crimes you know they didn't commit anyway? - 4 months ago
armyant By accusations turn out to be fabricated I don't mean there's not enough evidence for a conviction so the accused is acquitted -- I mean, literally, the accusations turn out to be fabricated. As in lies. - 4 months ago
Answerer Yes, it's knowingly legal to file false reports with police. but it's usually a misdemeanor, even when you accuse someone of serious felonies that can ruin their career and reputation. - 4 months ago
bunny420 In the UK as well? That should easily be illegal. - 4 months ago

I don't know which one exactly but I would DEFINATLY make stricter laws for immigration, too many people are coming into this country just to destroy it. I believe that they should do even more advanced screening like criminal records and set a limit of immigrants per year.

i'd make animal abuse a felony, not a misdemeanor.

Cartiphilus I'd gone one further with the animal abuse punishment. What ever was done to the animal would be done to whomever harmed the animal. - 4 months ago
Answerer "eye for an eye" eh?
i agree but let's just start with making the punishment for animal cruelty and neglect involve some jail time and high fines. not just 30 or 90 days of community service. - 3 months ago
SemiShy That mpg one is ridiculous. Think of all the people who drive cares that get less than 28 mpg. How many of those people can't afford another car to replace their old one. What would you do with the hundreds of thousands of cars that are now unusable (This alone makes your "green" idea into something that would actually harm the environment far more). What about the car companies? They would go bankrupt; forced to close down manufacturing plants across the United States. How many people would... - 2 months ago
SemiShy Lose their jobs at those places? On top of all that, how long before the requirements go up to 30 mpg and this all happens again? "MPG" isn't a solution, it's a buffer. Eventually people will be forced to stop using gasoline because, as it stands, there isn't enough to last the next forty years. A better law would force car companies to have cars that are able to run entirely on sustainable resources. I believe Honda already has a working hydrogen powered car. - 2 months ago
Answerer I'm not talking about people who can't afford a new car. I'm talking about mothers of one who drive SUVS with seats for eight people. I'm talking about rednecks who drive V8 hemi pickup trucks with 6 wheels - 2 months ago
