Definitely try a White Russian (yes, they are available in the U.S.) before you try a Black Russian. There are more ingredients in White Russians, so the taste of alcohol isn't so strong as in Blacks. If you're not much of a drinker, definately stick to fruity cocktails like Cosmos or Long Island Iced Teas. Once you get bored with those, start to venture into the wide world of various schnapps.

My personal preference is amaretto, which is good no matter how you mix it. Ask for an Amaretto Sour or a Sicilian Kiss.

Lastly, I want to implore you to avoid drinks like Screwdrivers simply because they're too simple. If you're at a bar or club, why waste money on a drink you could make at home? Bartenders are pros, with an infinite selection of spirits and mixers at their disposal. Shake things up! Try something you'd never go out and buy all the ingredients for to make yourself!

Thats a tough one, find one that you do like and remember what it is called. To say drink this or that is hard because people have different tastes. You could try 77 (seagrams&7up) or a screwdriver (vodaka&oj) to old stand bys, then you could go white Russian or a black Russian (made with kalua) or rum&coke the drinks go on and on its is all a matter of your taste or the latest trends. As far as cost the more basic lower the price (cheapbozzee) the fancier drinks more money and better the mix more money. I like drinking screwdrivers. They pretty much taste like orange juice (unless the bartender uses bitter Vodka, make sure to ask for non-bitter), and you can drink two or three before the vodka kicks in.

A White Russian, hold the vodka, hold the ice and hold the Kahlua (coffee liqueur)

At clubs I prefer drinking cocktails, like sex on the beach, cosmopolitan, tequila sunrise, long island ice tea etc. I don't remember the ingredients, but they are usually written on the menu and you should just try some and see what you like best. Martini is also always a good choice, or if you really want to have fun have some tequila :)

Jagerbombs, Porn Stars, Kamikazes, White Freezies, Whiskey Sours, Blue Lagoons. But skip the drinks and go for the shots! Most drinks cost around $5CAN. When a guy buys you a bunch of drinks, treat him to one. It's only fair.
