Not sure where to ask or if it's ok to ask here, Whats the average age for college in USA/Canada and UK? I want to go college, I wasted 2years and now I'm busy with other stuff when I finish I'm scared if I would be "too old" compare to other people. (finish the things I'm doing now maybe 19 or 20) and what about university? maybe 20~25?
No it really isn't too late. I'm 24 and last year decided to go back to education and train to be a teacher so I started a college course and in September of this year I start university. I was worried I would be too old as well as when I graduate I will be 28, but believe me we're not as there are some people on my course in their 30's,40's and even 50's. So don't let your age hold you back. You're definitely not too old-go for it or you may just regret not doing it in years to come! :)
Your never too old to learn. These days many people are taking several years off until they go back to school. Some want to travel, others need to save money for education. Some people have no idea what they want to do, so they don't want to waste whole bunch of money on courses. Others may have children early and did not have the time to set aside for education. These days many people are in school well up to age 30. Some need more education in order to attain better jobs. Others have very general degrees and may want to gain some technical skills. But all in all your never too late to go back to school or even start school. School takes a lot of dedication, time, and money....so, whenever you feel you have the right combination for all three things then proceed ahead with your education. I am from Canada, and many of my friend didn't start school until 21 - 22. Some are pursuing second degrees and are 23-24. Good luck :)
I'm in college with people from 19 to 40 and sometimes even in their 70's Remember this quote "It's never too late to learn" oh and also this one "It's never too late to be what you might have been"
Well college and University are the same thing here in the states, but generally Uni's are bigger here and that's why we call them that. As far as age of learning goes, never too old, but if you want to go there, party, etc. Generally the oldest you can be to still live in residence halls where I go is about 25.
People at my college (New College Nottingham, UK), are MAINLY 16-25, with the odd 30-50 about the place. But you won't be frowned upon as long as you embrace the culture. I'm friends with a 21 year old, and I'm 18.
I am 26 still in school, I enjoy a lot more now then I was 18. age don't matter.
Base on my experience, I feel kids 18or 20 just fooling around they don't really care about education, most of my friends are in mid or late 20's they know what they want and who they are so there is a trade off. and most girls find older guys more attractive too
