So ladies, I know that generally a guy who can dance really gets you going. Not to dis any of the more modern styles of dance (hip-hop, break dancing, etc. ), but why is it so hard for a guy who is more old school (salsa, tango, swing, waltz, foxtrot, etc. ) oriented in his dancing to find a partner? Now this wouldn't be such a problem, I'm more than happy to teach a woman how to dance, but they are all so self conscious that they refuse to on the grounds of looking silly.

I've heard many ladies say they fantasize to dance the tango someday, or elegantly dance the waltz or do the crazy moves in swing, yet when I offer them the chance they generally balk at it. It is simple to learn the basics of any of these dances, and I'm asking them in a social dance setting. (yes there are socials for swing and salsa, but those are few and far between where I live so I make do with what I can get).

So what gives?!? Where have the ladies who can dance gone, it is one of the most sexy things about a woman when they can dance!

I grew up in Texas and as a kid I learned how to two step and other country styles (which by the way are very similar to other styles of non country dancing). When I met my husband he couldn't dance and refused to learn. I used to beg him to let me show him how but he wouldn't. After sometime I finally gave up and went almost 11 years without dancing. I recently became single and decided I wanted to start dancing again. I work with a lot of Latin men that grew up with salsa and merengea (sp). I tried to learn and have been getting better.
It is hard to partner dance with someone if you haven't ever had to be led before. I used to know how to partner dance but after some time you just forget.
I can't speak for other ladies but I LOVE to dance and a man that knows how to actually dance is sexy!
I don't care if I look silly as long as I am having fun. I usually end up stepping on someone's foot or missing a turn but I just laugh and continue on. It is the best time!
So if you are ever in Dallas and need a partner just let me know ;-)

Does it ever annoy you that you're single?
random-ren asked 18 days ago

Yes, most of the time! I really wish I had a boyfriend/girlfriend!

A little, because I feel left out.

Not really...

Nope! I have too much fun being single!

What's there to be annoyed about?
