I have a child with my ex-girlfriend and I have a real problem with her new boyfriend being around my little girl. My ex is trouble enough for me. I don't like either of them, but love my little girl. How do I deal with this situation?

Well firstly you need to question on whether its a jealousy issue with the guy rather than something serious. and when I say jealousy am not necessarily meaning the ex, but time spent with your daughter. Then you need to talk to her about it, you cannot stop her having a guy around your child unless you have good reason to believe he is a threat to her, and if you think there is a genuine threat then maybe you should be looking at custody.

Problem is, the woman has the right to date--you won't be able to stop her--all you can do is tell her how you feel and leave it at that.

Why do you have a problem? What do you think he's going to do to her?

If she's your ex girlfriend she's ALLOWED to have a boyfriend, regardless of whether or not she has had your child.

You have to confront your ex-girlfriend and tell her that you want to be in your daughter's life more. You should also mention that you feel UNCOMFORTABLE with a 18-30 year old guy around your child.
