Every time I have a party my girlfriend ends up fighting with me because I don't pay enough attention to her. Why doesn't she understand that I can't have people over and ignore them just to hang out with her all night?
Well I'm not sure if you're still with her or still having this problem lol but if you are or it happens with another woman then: Before the party starts explain to her how much she means to you and how much you love being with her. Tell her a party is way for you just to socialize with other people as well and how you look forward to being alone with her after its over. Maybe she'll realize that you aren't looking to hook up with any girls or ignore her while you're with friends. Every now and then go and ask her how are you doing baby, you enjoying yourself? I can't wait till we have some alone time but for now let's PARTYYYYY!
While you shouldn't ignore her, I do think she should be able to be by herself mingle and hang a bit. They call it being a social butterfly fro a reason--you should flit from flower to flower, being sure to spend a little time with your main blossom ;-)
It's not that she wants attention just from you... she wants you to involve her with your friends also. She can't do it alone and you shouldn't expect her to! She's your girlfriend and she SHOULD be allowed to be by your side ALL night. If you don't want her to be you shouldn't invite her! What if she had a party with tons of girls and left you all alone... you would be pretty ticked off so stop being a jerk and be with your girlfriend!

Just becuz you having a party doesn't mean that you can ignore HER just to hang out with THEM all night...sounds different when you think about it that way huh?
If you are having a party, she should understand you have people to tend to. But don't completely ignore her around your friends. It's probably not that she wants your attention, she probably wants to be recognized as the girl you like around your friends.

Don't listen to these girls they haven't the experience. haha oh man. Are they all your friends? If she doesn't have any of her friends there, then she'll be your shadow. To avoid this next time, tell her to invite a couple of her close friends. I get yelled at for the same thing.
