I'm 16 years old and going to the 11th grade. Its bought that time to figure out what I want as a career so when I grow up I want to be a professional photographer, a professional massage therapist, and a professional make up artist. What are some ways I can get in any of my future careers?

Well you can go to cosmetology school. It takes about 9 months to get your degree. And either at the same time or right after, you can go to massage therapy school. That takes about a year. Not sure how long school for photography takes. You just have to decide what you want to pursue first.

Question Asker I'm talkin about what I can do now to help pursue my career - 7 months ago
Answerer Are you really good at makeup? Get a friend and do 4 different looks on her. Take pix and put them up on modelmayhem.com and choose makeup artist. This will showcase your skill. Then go to the castings where people are looking for a makeup artist. This will allow you to do makeup for professional photo shoots and you will get copies of the best pix in return so that you can form a book. Do the same for your photography. Modelmayhem.com and put up some shots under a photography profile. - 7 months ago

Firstly, its great that you already have ideas about what you want to be when you grow up. But I think that you should really only consider one career at a time. Its either a professional massage therapist or a pro. Make-up artist or a pro. Photographer. All of these careers require work and to be the best. One career at a time is the best way in.

For professional phtography. I'd suggest get photography classes. I do photography as a hobby but its not my career choice. Get basic classes this summer and create yourself a profile! Once you get the basics of photography and you get the feel for the camera. You'd be able to try different things and get your work on the internet to get notice. And then you can use your profile and the time effort as a credit into a photography institution. Try. Various contests as well and just try to get your art out there.

For the make-up artist. Same thing. Get the basics. One of my cousin is a professional make-up artist. And she started out by taking a full year course. And from there she got a job at a make-up salon. She did a lot of wedding make-ups and what not. After that. She started taking pictures of her make-up art and publishing it online and started sending them to various magazines posts. She did get a call in from one of the magazines and she was able to do a professional make-up on one of the models and it got published. So basically. Get the basic course and start sending your "looks" to various magazines. But you need to remember that. This type of stuff doesn't happen over night. My cousin didn't get her career started. Until 4-5 years after she had taken intense courses.

For the massage therapist. Its part of the health field so schooling is important. I am pretty sure you need a high school diploma for a college entrence. Many instituations offer training courses. Often in particular techniques. Admission requirements vary but generally include a high school diploma or equivalent. Some programs require Biology 30. For this career, just make sure your marks are above average and you are able to get into a college.

Other then that. You are only 16. Relax. Which ever career you go into. You'll do JUST fine. As long as you don't slack. Lol
