If you haven't eaten in a long time, anything you eat will be turned into energy, NOT fat, not to say fat is bad, which it isn't. Fat is a long-term energy source, you won't get fat if you don't intake more calories then you burn. If you only eat when you're hungry, until you're not hungry, you shouldn't have a problem. People get fat because they eat when they don't need to, so the body stores the fat because the person doesn't need to burn it for energy.

What do your friends or family say? If they think you're skinny enough, I'd take their word for it. When it comes to body image, and if you have a past of eating disorders, you should try and ask as many people as you can whether or not they think you need to lose weight. Don't listen to just yourself, listen to yourself and dozens of other people. The best decision is an informed one.

Once you stop eating, your body goes into survival mode, and your metabolism slows- your body clings to every last calorie with dear life. Once you eat again, it's like your eating normally, but your body can't keep up. It is overwhelmed. You consume more than you burn, and
calories in > calories out = weight gain

Also, when you stop eating, you body goes starts to eat your muscles to keep you alive.
