You have to use a combination of exercising and proper eating. One won't do it, and either will the other. You need to do exercise and stomach exercises to tone the muscles underneath, and you need the proper eating to get rid of the fat that's covering the muscles. There are many different stomach exercises to hit all of the areas, including your love handles. A good variety of these exercises will hit all the areas. And drink lots of water, and eat healthy for a while. Start by doing a few sets of sit ups every night. Maybe while watching tv, or in between commercials, or whatever. You don't have to do 100 in a row. But maybe start off by doing 5 sets of 20, or whatever. The more you do, the more you will be able to do. But it is all about keeping at it, and making it a habit. You will see results in a cpl weeks if you stay with it.
Well, my answer is simple.eat well and exercise. When you exercise get your heart rate up and keep it up as long as comfortable for you. As you burn whatever fat you may have on your body you could start to do sit ups to improve the definition of your 6-pack that should be starting to come out over time. Going for a run in the morning is a great way to start the day, it sucks to get up early and hit the cold morning in the face, but once its your routine it will get easier and it will definitely pay off over time. Stick with it ;)
Okay I'm actually good at this. 145 pounds is healthy although you could also aim for 135. To get rid of your stomach and your love handles running does so much, so keep with that and it also helps keeping your heart healthy. If you’re not a very fluent runner than start out walking for 2 minutes then running for 2 minutes and repeat that pattern up to twenty minutes for starters. The bicycle crunch works great! Sit with knees bent 90 degrees. Engage your abs and bring your right knee toward your left elbow, extending your left leg. (that’s the starting point) Return to that and do 15 reps on each side. This will work your core and your love handles!
