You definitely need to eat a lot. A lot of protein, a lot of pastas. The only way to gain weight is by eating. Make sure you drink a lot of water, since muscles are made up of a lot of water.
As far as supplements, try taking creatine for a month, and then not taking it for a cpl months, and then taking it for a month again. Creatine helps your muscles rebuild. Our body naturally makes creatine, but taking additional helps out a ton. You can buy some cheap stuff at Walmart. The reason you take off a cpl months, is so that your body doesn't stop producing it naturally.
As far as the gym, you want to work out 4 or 5 times a week. You need some days off for your muscles to grow. Muscles grow by resting and rebuilding. So if you want to get bigger, you do need to rest. But target different muscles on different days. I do biceps and chest one day, shoulders and triceps another day, legs another day, and then back and misc arm muscles another day.
Make sure when you're lifting weights, you do sets with reps between 6-8. That's how you build muscle. If you're doing reps between 10-12, you're doing more toning then building. But 6-8 puts on more mass and size as opposed to toning.
Why would you do that? Creatine does relatively nothing for you... its a brand new supplement and they don't know the effects of it in the long run.
I work in a gym and every pro body builder I know says don't take it - 3 months ago

Um, that's because pro body builders use more hardcore stuff that does crazy stuff. Creatine does "relatively" nothing for you? Define relatively. Are you going to double your bench press in the first week of taking it? No. But there is definitely an increase in strength, size, and your muscles repair faster when you take it regularly. - 3 months ago
your best bet would stop into a gnc and let the rep there know what you're doing.
you're gonna wanna have a protein shake before working out, then one afterwards to help re-build the muscle you damage during workouts.
also, you may wanna invest in some weight gainer (if you're looking to bulk up), and do a shake or two of that.
the only real nutrition system I'm on is to eat as much as I can. I've put on 15 pounds in the last 4 months, and lowered my body fat % in the process with the amount of workout I've done.
i gained 24 pounds of muscle in a year. how? Just eat as much as you can. breakfast stuff your face. lunch. stuff it. dinner as much as you can. But you have to push your body as far as you can when you're lifting weights. go as heavy as you can and push yourself until you hit 10 reps
Also you might wanna buy some protein powder. In addition if you have any guy friends that go to the gym tag along with them. my room mate at college is a pro body builder. So what did I do? I followed him to the gym and watched everything he did. That's the best way to learn in my opinion.
That's some great advice ur giving there. The reason most people don't get muscled fast is because they think they have to stop eating. This however is a myth if you want muscles you have to eat. Healthy food of course but allot of it.
I'm not talking about french fries or pizza etc.. I'm speaking of salad, vegetables, cooked potatoes etc.
My question to GruffBalloon do you have any idea of a healthy food combination with meat ? - 3 months ago

Describe your ideal first date; Where do you go? What do you wear? How does the date end?
I would go to a nice place with the right atmosphere. When it comes to clothes I like to keep it simple nothin to fancy. The way it would end for me is a kiss right after I walked her to the door.
