I'm having my picture taken by a professional photographer soon and I need ideas for poses. They are being done in a private setting so pretty much anything is possible. However I am not comfortable doing anything really pornographic or anything like that. So what types of things can I do that will be really sexy but still keep my clothes on? Or at least mostly on? Any ideas?

Very nice. Tasteful, and sexy. My favorite is the one taken from above with you lying on your back, the seductive gaze definitely makes that one, but they're all great!
The biggest thing that I like to see in a picture is background, action done such as Standing, staring off into space, reading something, laughing, having a good time, sexy pose. The main thing is clothing worn and surrounding going along with clothing worn.
See these pictures at these websites for ideas. It is easier to see for yourself than for me to describe the things I would like to see.
Honestly, I think one of the sexiest poses that work for most girls is laying on a bed with her head hanging downward slightly so that her hair drapes over the edge and looking deep into the camera with a subtle sexy stare. Lingerie or a solid color satin dress (not too long and if it is, pull it slightly above the thigh) usually work well, something simple as to not take the attention away from your face. Also, these pictures are usually very bold when taken in black and white with certain areas coloured like the eyes and the contrast heightened slightly to give the woman an aura-like appearance (this is if you don't mind the photos being edited a tad). In addition, the background should be subtle also, preferably a bed against a white background. Another pose with the same setup would be taking a direct shot of you from above laying on the bed in a sexy pose with a sultry stare and your hair fanned out around your head.
No occasion really. The photographer is really talented and I always wanted to book a shoot with him and now he is quitting so it was like "now or never". As for who they are for: I've got a 2 hour shoot so I am doing some casual stuff for family. Mostly my mom. So those aren't really going to be sexy and I have some ideas for those already. The other pictures are mostly going to be for me and of course my husband will see them. But I want to be able to show them to other people too. - 7 months ago
