I would say all through high school is when they grow. Their height is more or less hereditary but it may not be directly obvious how tall they will be. My husband is just shy of 6'1" but both his parents are 5'4"! When I met them I was like "Is he adopted?" Lol. No I didn't really say that to them but it crossed my mind, lol. Later I met his granddad and HE is just as tall as my husband and it all made sense, lol.
It's genetic, and most boys are done by about 16 or so, I think. They do grow later than girls.
But some boys actually grow even later. My brother grew like half a foot at around 19 and is now 6' tall! He was the shortest boy in his class all through high school.
Around the same age they hit puberty - 15 to 18. All through high school basically. Mostly coming from the fathers side. But then again, every guy s different. I know this guy right now and he's shorter then a 6th grader. He is SO tiny but an amazing guy. So, genes obviously play a big role and I guess it can be a case of luck.
