How do I convince my mom to let me get a myspace? She thinks it's dangerous, while I half agree with her, they're just fun to have. I've tried to explain that I choose who is on my friends list and that I can put my profile on a privacy setting, but she won't budge. What do I say to convince her?

Have your mom go on there with you and have her set up a profile,... show her how you can set it up so only friends can see you, and also don't show a picture of yourself on your main page (or any location information).
This way, only friends can see your pics and info and you might be able to convince her that you can use MySpace but still be safe.
Well I have a myspace and you can control everything you put on there. you don't have to put any of your real info or where you are really from or how old you really are.
Tell her that you will put that you live somewhere else. And tell her that you can block your profile so only your friends that you add can see it. Watch out though cause myspace is really addicting! I have to go on everyday or I go insane. haha. But it's worth it.
